Before college, I had very little experience creating digital illustrations with a drawing tablet. Most of my hand-drawn work was based on copying references, so coming up with original ideas and developing them into finished pieces often felt difficult. In college, I began experimenting with both traditional and digital tools. I learned that they can support each other: hand drawing helps me explore ideas freely, while digital tools let me revise, layer, and refine my work. I am still developing my own creative voice, and bringing these two ways of working together has helped me become more confident in the process.
